The pool was small and of a strange design. The outer parts were about 6 inches deep, and the middle was a little over 5 feet deep. When the ship was at sea and rocking back and forth, the pool developed some waves of its own, and I suspect that the design was an attempt to minimize this. The pool was salt water and seemed plenty clean, despite heavy use.
